It first started out sometime in early 2013. I wanted a small rimless tank to keep my remaining hastatus in. The thought process behind this tank went something like this:
wanted the hastatus to feel secure and perhaps start breeding ==> planted
something low maintenance, and save some money on electricity ==>crypts
crypts need soil==>buy Gex soil
looks dull ==>add wood
wood looks dull ==>tied some java fern
Chinese New Year is here! ==>added a water lily with a flower
friend came back from overseas ==>brought some crypts back
crypts getting interesting ==>got more crypts
anything else? ==>added staurogyne and hydrocotyle
hastatus looked bored ==>bought some lampeyes
hastatus still not breeding ==>buy more!
sprinkle some stardust ==>added some bucephalandra..
what do you think of the result
Please feel free to leave comments, this tank is still very much a work-in-progress! And sorry for the not-so-high-quality pictures, still using a simple iPhone 4S![]()
