    Made a mistake using shrimp soil, should have bought ADA at the 1st place.
    Hopefully the japanese HG will grow well, will be adding more of that if everything goes well.

    The back looks at curtain to me. Also, looks like there is algae on the curtain. Or it is a wall water.

    hi, i guess maybe you can add more plants since you are doing low tech (the plants grow very slow). May i know the specifications of your tankset and light?

    That is mini fissiden at the back... using that as wall

    Tank is 45 cm
    light 2xT5 @ 8 hours a day

    eh, i think i saw 2 cartoon crabs, some cartoon plants on the ground& 1 cartoon monster on the treelike bogwood??

    from my understanding, if you use ADA which is nutrient/ammonia rich, you need to stock up a bit more plants or by more diligent with water changes in the initial period. I feel that for low tech tank which plants are not really expected to grow aggressively, therefore, ADA soil may not be necessary. Just my 2 cents
