That look like cotton disease or fungus like infection....
I recently had a few guppy deaths in my planted tank. I had no idea what was causing the deaths until i noticed this on one of my guppies. What is causing this, and how can i treat it? I have cherry shrimps in my tank also.

it look like fungal infection.
They have that cottony growth on the fish body.
Test your water quality, the most common killer is usually high ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates.
If any of these levels are high a partial water change is always recommended.

Typically, this is a bacterial infection, followed by a fungal infestation by either Achyla or Saprolegnia. To treat this, you can use methylene blue. If you use methylene blue, you need to increase aeration in the tank. I do not know how sensitive cherry shrimp will be towards the use of methylene blue, but if necessary, treat the fish in a separate hospital tank.
What were the symptoms of the other dead guppies, before they died?
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
I checked for nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. All was 0.
They had no symptoms. One day, i found 1 dead. Then the next day 3 dead. Then 2 dead. Maybe I'm inexperienced at looking for signs, but they were all swimming normally, eating normally. No scars or abnormal growth. but they just die.
I'll check whether methylene blue is ok for shrimps. Thanks guys!
