hello ikan, you need quite a lot of pressure to get it out of the diffusor, the holes are microscopic leh... cannot compare with airstone.
however, you can use a DIY CO2 on a diffusor (I even used one with the spiral bubble counter, even higher pressure), but make sure your bottle and tubing can tahan lah. I used to buy the JBL CO2 bottle, after it is consumed just add sugar, baking soda and yeast, and reuse the bottle.
