I was given a 1 foot tank by my girlfriend and was instantly hooked. Bought another 1.5 feet tank a few months later and with help from a good friend and his brother, we came up with this scape.

Back then, I never knew about AQ and bought plants based on aesthetics. Until now, I would not say that I know a lot but I have surely benefited from the knowledge of AQ members.

This is my current messy scape.

Capping the soil with gravel seemed like a good idea when we were working on the previous scape, as it was neat. But once I started moving and adding plants, it became a messy nightmare. This was because I bought and did things without basic research. Still, lesson learnt. Saving up money right now to upgrade to a larger tank, and this time I will make sure I plan well.

    Thanks for you time guys!

Thanks Laversinger! Yes, but that will be for my 2 feet tank that I am saving up for.
