[Apple Snails] Slime?

just noticed that they are leaving a trail of slime! previously I didn't notice that, nowadays, even when i picked them up, they will leave some slime substance on my hands......

maybe they are going to give birth, cos i know when they give birth theres like this whole glob of slime that they produce.

really? i've seen some of them mating, and the slime is only white slime, not slime with "tiny colored green/yellow balls" as seen in google.com,
