Care to share your filtration setup? You have a tank that is long length wise but short height wise so I'm quite interested how you get the water flow from one end to the other without it being a disturbance to the shrimps.

I'm using Fluval C3 hang on filter. Even though the tank is very long, the pulling effect from the inlet and pushing effect from the outlet allows water the flow throughout the tank, but you can see it gradually becomes gentler at the other side of the tanks. However the outlet flow is rather strong, given the shallow depth, I got the tank maker to create a small beam across the breadth of the tank a few inches in front of the filter to block off the full flow. Yup that's all.
