I read before that the decay parts of nana will release some toxic but the amount is not lethal for the shrimp. Best to remove them. I used to have them in my shrimp tank but remove it just in case. Hope it helps.

It's the anubias sap that might affect the shrimps, although it cannot be confirmed. I have them in my tanks with my shrimps but with the amount of shrimps in my tank, i also cannot confirm deaths of the shrimp.

Okie, on a safer side, i will remove that from the tank. Thanks.

Just to check, is there any plant that should be avoided if i want to keep shrimp in my planted tank..

On a general note, shrimp tanks are meant to be simple. Some moss, java fern should suffice. reason being, you want to see your shrimp. But by all means, if you wish to heavily plant your tank. it just user personal preferences.
As for plants, you can check around the shrimp sifus over here. I usually just use those cheap $1 fast growing plants in my tank. Tons of hornworts and floating plants too.

Did u check ur water parameters before making a hypothetical claim![]()

For shrimp tank, best is keep it simple, no frills.
Moss will be good for shrimplets to hide as well, probably food from the algae.
Shrimps are sensitive creatures and the decaying nana leave may be part of indirect cause (contribute to water parameters) for deaths.
