Oh I see. Can you show some pictures of the custom made beams and the LEDs? From the pictures, the lights sure look interesting

your tank serves as an inspiration to me. I regret not customizing my tank to a long one initially.

    wow...impressive.

what filter are you running and how do you ensure that such a long tank gets good water flow throughout?

also, where do you get such a long lamp?

Honestly, if you see my tanks in person, you will see that my flow output reaches to only about 3/4 of my tank. In my opinion, that is sufficient. I see my corydoras hastatus hanging at the other end of the tank, and no slime forming on the surface at that area, so I am satisfied with that. I believe that the pulling motion of the input and pushing motion of the output allows sufficient movement of the water volume, just that we cannot see with our naked eye.

I am using fluval c3 for my sakura tank and recently I changed the filter for the other planted tank from fluval c3 to Tom hang on canister filter due to the increased inhabitants in it to support the increased bioload.

As for my lights, they do not stretch all the way from one end to another as you know, there isn't much choices for such length. Hence, I have plants that do not need as much lights at the opposite ends.

last time i also have fishtank in my bedroom (small one... only 2 feet)

but later decided to shift to living room cos i'm a light sleeper, and the noises (usually the water movement or air pump) were waking me up on and off

but it's always a delight to wake up looking at a beautiful scape first thing in the morning
