    the flower is actually an inflorescene, meaning it is a composite body consisting of several individual flowers. Anubias are in the same family as peace lilies, dumbcanes, anthuriums so the bloom is similar, with a pale spadix enclosed within the green spathe. It won't open up fully, and underwater, fertilisation is unlikely, though not impossible.

    yes, those are anthuriums, which have colourful spathes which open up fully, unlike the anubias.

    in the same family you have another genera, the Amorphallus (guess what this means) which produce the largest inflorscenes in the world... A. titanum has a bloom that goes nearly 10 ft high. click here
