Pls Help!!! Abt E-ballast

Hi, Do anyone know E-ballast can use 1 PL tube or more than 1. Pls advise. Thanks!

depends.
some are single (for single tube) ballast while come are dual ballast (for 2 tubes) units.
it is indicated on the ballast itself.
a single 40 watt ballast can take 2 nos of 18 watt tubes connected in series.
however, there are some who advise against this idea.
