    Canister intake tube/pipe question.
    Hi bros, need advice again.

    My second hand ehiem 2260 intake (to canister) fits only 19/27mm hose, instead of the 25/34mm hose.

    I am think using 25/34mm hose for most part of intake, then use a reducer to fit 19/27mm hose to connect to canister. Will be around 60% big hose 40% small hose.


    My question is will Suction be better this way as compared to using 19/27mm throughout? Current using only 19/27mm hose, thinking of doing modifcation.

    Please share your experience bros..

    Yes it'll be better, but it all depends on whether you need that flow in your tank. If you're still not getting enough flow with this planned setup, you might have no choice but to go to a bigger intake.
