    Hi,

In my tank, I have a bloated Neon Tetra, and searched the web, and found that it's an tetra illness.

How come always get diseases? I didn't put salt as it will kill my moss.

I can only guess from your past posts about your tank setups, but I think it's reasonable to say that your setups (with 100+ fish in a 2 ft tank or so) and uneven filtration (cleaning the filter every few days doesn't give the beneficial bacteria a chance to grow) and perhaps heavy feeding..... all these combine to give you and your fish problems..... until you par your tank down to a realistic population and start learning exactly what fish need to live healthily, you are only going to get more problems in the future.....

    Ahh..... because......

you thought you could put 200 fish in a 2'X1'X1' tank, even when others like Aeon, PeterGwee and victri told you your bioload was too high and your tank would surely run into problems.

Somemore, you still dare to say it was a "success", only to be hit with problems like finrot, algae, dying fish and who knows what else.

Now you ask how come your fish always kena disease? Have you been reading what others are posting or not???

heavy feeding? I feed twice per day, with the food finished in 2 mins.

maybe I get the external filter and see what happens...........

When I put salt into the tank, no disease. After I took them out (water changes), the diseases starts to come in.

Why do I take the salt out? Because the moss plant seemed like dying......Now moss plant is growing strong without salt, but the fishes like kena so many diseases..................

Because the salt was preventing your fishes from getting diseases. Thats why you put salt in the first place.

    Go read http://www.aquariumfish.net/informat...arium_salt.htm and http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/tr...ltiinfresh.htm.

    Oh yah, forgot...

The reason your fishes get sick is because your water conditions are bad. Mainly because (we deduced from your previous postings) you had too many fishes, and your filter's bio-filtration is not mature because you wash the filter too often.

So you really need to go fix things now.
    - Rinse your filter out with tank water. Tap water chlorine will kill the bacteria you need.
    - Change water often. 50% each time, 3 times a week, for 2 weeks.
    - Make sure you use anti-chlorine before you top up the water. Else the new water might kill the filter bacteria you're trying to cultivate.
    - Reduce feeding. Don't feed for the next few days, after that feed les then before, once a day. Fishes can survive quite long without food. Less food = less shit/less uneaten food = slower waste build up.

firstly, your ecology has been already screwed up. i dont see how removing of fishes since then can already help, if i were you, i'd do a 2/3 water change like every 4 days for afew days first. try to cure your fishes. Feediing you dont have to feed your fishes till they are like bloated or whatever, for me i just pour in a small amount, they finish that within about 15 secs, i give them 2 servings of that twice a day. TOo much food could also create too much waste, even your filter and plants cant break down the waste.

By the way, why on earth are you washing your filter like once every three days???

the tetra is not bloated because of over-feeding, its a fungus virus affecting the tetra.

I didn't wash my filter. I change/clean my sponge because it is clogged with waste.

Just once when you start the treatment. Leave it alone after that to allow the bacteria to grow.

wow! separated the bloated tetra, and placed it in anti-fungus solution + salt, and the bloating stomach has become smaller!

that's kind of fast, because it's only less than 2 hours!
