Anyone here into Hydor Primes?I'm a big fan of it,got myself 3prime 10(300L/Hr) and a prime20(700L/Hr).Looks great, self primes and bloody quiet! Used it in my bedroom with no complains.Polyart just started selling them 2weeks ago,do take a look at them if you're interested.

Yeah I saw them, quite cheap! The shop keeper recommended it to me over an eheim, which is why I became confused over filters, haha.

Are you referring to a hydor prime? Could've been a faulty batch, impeller problems etc? My hydors have all lasted me about 2years without any problems whatsoever, considering the fact that one of my prime 10 was bought right here in the marketplace and it was already used for an estimate of 1year++ according to the previous owner? So i've really no doubts about Hydor's QC! It really could be a one off occasion in your case i guess? Or i could just simply be a "hardcore" fan of the Hydor and just sound biased? Either way syburn,if you really wanna get a "moderate" priced and lasting performance filter go for the Hydor prime series. Won't regret your decision and I've got 4 to prove it!
