You got a nice page, I like the section "Setting Up of New Tank".
It will be good reference to those beginner to know what are ther materials used for a setup.

Nice tank there, simple and neat, keep us updated hor.

    Hi fyc,
    Nice setup!

For your water change device, how do you begin siphoning water out?

    hi Juggler,

When all is hook up, just turn on the tap and pump some water into the tank. Then turn off the tap, remove the hose from the tap, and direct the hose to a longkang. And water will start siphoning from the tank.

It is as easy as that

    Hi fyc, Simon,
Good ideas! My method is use same principle as yours. More primitive but better than carrying pails of water. See below. Don't laugh!
    Siphoning out water.
    Filling in water.

The good thing is I can start the siphon action with a few pumps. And water change is no more a chore.

    Koah Fong,

I like the 'S' hook idea. Will go get myself a hook today.

Hope the Discus do fine. If they are not eating, come collect some BW from me the next time you're in Serangoon..
    Cheers!!
