Wow. Beautiful fish and setup, bro. Hope to have a setup like that one day. It's been a while since I've seen a Cichlid post on here. I like your cave stack. Are the cichlids breeding? And are those real plants?

Thanks Bro.
Those are fake plants.. Real plants don't work in Cichlids tank..
For breeding... I got some female inside but majority is still male.
From my limited understanding, to breed Cichlids, you need to have certain conditions fulfill.
You need more more female than male in the tank. And you need optimum water quality.. I do not change water so often so very unlikely breeding will occur.. Those breeding caves are just for them to rest.

Thanks for the information, bro. I have always wanted a Malawi or Tanganyikan tank, but as you said, real plants don't work in a cichlid tank, and I like aquascaping as well. I guess the 2 are mutually exclusive and I'll need a separate tank for each. As they say, the poison spreads fast and is highly lethal (to the wallet, anyway). But you've given me great ideas. Thanks for uploading the vid of your beautiful tank.

Your fish might breed, but because there are so many others around, many of the fry would be lost. However, some may survive in the gaps among the caves. You might get a pleasant surprise one of these days.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
