On the mesh, you can take it out/move it around for easy cleaning
Hi guys I have been toying around with the idea of growing my US fissidens on soil so as to achieve a carpet-like effect on the substrate. Is it feasible to just plant them into the soil and use the dry-start method? Or would it be better to tie them on some wire mesh and just leave them on the bottom of the tank?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I have another question (pardon me I'm not familiar with planting). I have a piece of driftwood with US fissidens attached, and it used to cover the whole piece of wood. Lately some small pieces of fissidens have been dropping out, and this exposes one side of the driftwood. Why is this happening? The moss still looks green and healthy to me!
normal, you need to re-tie. After a while it grow too thick, the bottom part does not get any light and start to rot and come off.
Oh I see. The bro i bought this from also mentioned that the moss needed trimming. Haha but I left it untouched because I thought it looked nice when overgrown. Thanks for the advice!
yeah it look nice become round but the catch is it will come off after a while.
