I currently have a 4ft tank with 36wx4 PL lightings. Thinking of increasing the wattage. Now searching for used 2x36watt PL lights with e-ballast.

    I have the following questions:

Can I use PL 12000k tube for my planted tank?
What's the ideal K for planted tank? 5000k, 75000k etc.
Any good and reliable (cheap!) brand to recommend?
There are tubes that a combination of 36w white/pink colours. Pinks are for luminating the colours. But r the white still be around 36watts?

Thanx in advance for ur reply.

Normally for planted tank, we will use white daylight. (6000-8000k).
Higher k will promote more algae. (Read it somewhere)

Slighter cheaper will be elibru and better but more expensive one will be osram.
