Java Fern 'Lace' (Microsorum pteropus 'Windelov)

Hi guys I have this fern and I noticed it grows some black hairy balls near the tip of its leaves. Looks like bba but it is not. It can be easily removed and have a hard texture, like a grain of sand. Is it the place where plantlets grow from it?

should be plantlets... you will see small green tip emerging soon...
