    hi

i have a two feeter (2by1.5by1.5) with losts of java fern and nana.

daily lighting 8.5 hours by 45 wats FL.
daily 15% water change cause of heavy load.
daily minimal dose of florish excel.
    water temp at 27-28 deg.
    DIY CO2

seems like the java fern would appear to have burn marks on the leaf and after a few weeks start to waste away.

so what should i do in order to grow the fern??

    thanks

now i have 4 kinds of java fern. broad leave, narrow leave, windelov and the normal one. i started with the normal one with about the same setup as your tank except w/o co2 and i change water every two weeks. i add flourish excel and tmg during water change and they are growing very well with new roots growing from the leave. i can even harvest more java fern onto another drift wood

i got a bunch of green java verb on my a shaded pail outside of my house, meanwhile the other one in my tank have burning marks on the leaf. (temp of my tank is 26-29c) , so could the temperature be the cause

Cut water changing frequency to once a week. Consider adding CO2 and a general liquid fertiliser to your tank.

Burn mark may indicate too much fertilizer... Try dose only bi-weekly. Daily water change should replenish the lost nutrient.

(For me, daily water change is crazy. I won't spend that much effort on a fish/planted tank. Unless it's a major step to eliminate algae or disease)
