plant eaten up by yamato

recently found that my plant eaten by my yamato. what's the main cause? plant too weak? or yamato too hungry as i never fed them anything?

Let me guess! APP? I'm thinking for frying by yamatos for snack because they took a liking for the APP. The APP was doing fine until the yamatos found it delicious.

oh forget to mention the plant I had Bacopa Caroliniana, Hotonia and Hydrocotyle vulgaris are the main affect plant.
My APP is still fine maybe they think APP not that nice
btw why they eat plant?
