I see. How do u arrange your media? My shop only sell the filter but nvr sell cartridge. Haha. And my HOF is the small version for 1.5ft tank. The reservoir is not very huge, I afraid by putting my whole cotton wool n ceramics will cause the water to overflow.

For my case, I add those black sponge filter (looks like those black air sponge filter) at the inlet and the fill the HOF full of bio media. Careful not to obstruct the propeller.

I am using the same filter as you.

    How big is your tank?

I managed to stuff like 2 pieces of sponge into it to act as filter media. Not efficient but it get things done.

My tank is 1.5ft. I remove the carbon cartridge and put in my own ceramic ring and thin slice of cotton wool. Haha. Lets see how the result.
