Filter and Airpump

Guys,

Do I still need an air pump when I am using the Gex S slim filter on a 30cm nano tank?

a noob question.

The Gex S Slim filter is a hang-on back filter, it is a self contained unit which filters the water and also creates surface agitation through the "waterfall" outflow design... so an air pump isn't necessary.

Though there is no problem if you want use an additional air pump with sponge filter to create more filtration and surface agitation.
