Could you provide pictures please? that would help in identification and subsequent treatment( if there is a need).
I have lots of tiny white bugs in my aquarium Had them before and clean the aquarium but they are back!!! How do I get rid of them. They seem to live in the rocks at the bottom of the aquarium. Sometimes they go on the glass and swim a bit. Can anyone help me with this problem? I don't like them at all.![]()

My guess is that these are copepods or ostracods (seed shrimps). Both are small crustaceans that don't harm aquarium inhabitants like shrimps or fishes. In fact, small fishes might have lots of fun hunting them down.
Small is beautiful.
My guess is seed shrimp. Not a big issue. What kind of fauna is in your tank? small fishes?
I do have these in my tank for like 2 months alrdy. No prob at all..
I have a white angel fish about 3-4 inches big, 7 neon fish (tiny with blue and red on their body), I have 2 loach fish (orange and black) the one that hide a lot and then play a lot and I have a zebra fish. - I did previously have a couple of snails but they have died or the fish just picked on them and they died.
I have already emptied once the whole tank, cleaned it real good, at least I thought I did.
I think I used to feed them too much. For the last week or so, I cut down the food (flakes for the angel and neons) and put one pellet instead of two for the loach. They are doing fine with this. Sometimes I put in a tiny half an inch square of frozen blood worms. It seems to be working. I still see the white bugs once in a while but when I emptied 25% of the water and moved the rocks on the bottom they seemed to be at the top of the water. When I make a change of water I clean everything in the aquarium, objects and plants. I do have real plants and rinse them very well before putting them in the aquarium.
I have another aquarium - 20 gallons, and fortunately no bugs in that one!!!
It is just that I would like a clean aquarium.
Thank you for your concern.
