Yeah, 20-25 PSI is usually more than sufficient for normal in-tank glass diffusers (which are most commonly used nowadays)... but for those inline diffusers/atomizers, definitely need higher working pressure to squeeze out the tinier bubbles and create a Co2 mist effect.

my jbl one 35-40psi. if normal diffuser 25-30psi should not meet problems

depend how many you split. my JBJ also 40 psi, I split to 3 all ups inline diffuser and it does not work but split to 2 is OK.

Yeah, i noticed that whenever my regulator solenoid is active and Co2 is being fed through the inline atomizer, the working pressure seems to show a slight decrease during operation (ie. 45 PSI to 40 PSI), probably due to back-pressure from the water... so i guess if it were to be split up and used for multiple tanks with similar diffusers/atomizers, then each would probably reduce the working pressure accordingly, which may eventually drop it below the required operating pressure levels, like what Shadow mentioned about in his experience.

If i remember correctly, the Up Aqua Inline Atomizer requires >35 PSI working pressure for it to work properly.

Sorry for your loss. I reckon you are not using a timer to turn the co2 off during light off period? It may better to get one as plants do not consume co2 if there's no light.

That must have been quite a huge excess Co2 build up over the course of the night... i guess that's the thing with DIY Co2, tough to control the amount of Co2 being injected due to fluctuating pressure and no timer system (unless you monitor constantly and manually on/off it everyday).

I am actually using pressurized Co2 without solenoid, I guess it was too excessive even with light on. A pity though as neon tetras were all big and fat. well, guess it is time for a rescape before buying fauna.

Yeah, it'll be much better to use a solenoid timer to automate the Co2 injection schedule.

It does take some fine tuning of the bps feed to get Co2 levels high enough for plant growth yet low enough not to kill the fauna. Best to start low initially and monitor the fishes/shrimps for any issues, then slowly tune higher over the span of a few days until it reaches the optimal levels.

What color did your drop checker show when you discovered the dead fishes?

Didnt have a drop checker, just bought on and changing to glosso and added more soil.

tank suffers from unknown apocalypse and all tetras and an angel fish was wiped up.

PH increased suddenly to 7.4 and water turns cloudy.

checked ph at 7.4, why the sudden increase?
spotted some white fungus on the bottom fins of surviving angel fish

Was there a large water change done the day before? Sometimes the tap water pH in some areas can be very high and can suddenly swing the existing tank acidic pH to alkaline pH for a period of time, especially after a very large water change.

no, I did not do any water change nor touched anything the day before though. Really a mystery man!
