If it were possible to export to Singapore I'd be happy to do it.

    hi Fabio

Really good fish & good photography.

What's the temperature you keep in?

In Singapore, the temperature is quite hot...about 31-33 degree celsius. In my case, I put the fish in the balcony (no choice), which can get even hotter. Reading Romer's book, it appears that most apistos prefer slightly cooler temperature of 24-26 degrees. So far, I have one successful spawning - 30 fries of mamore. I have not taken a close look at them although they are quite big already. I understand that higher temperature can result in more males.

I think the sg custom allows people to ship a few pairs over without any permit. However, the shipping time might be too long from portugal to sg.

    Re: Fishroom of Dwarf Cichlids

    hi bro Joopsg

Thanks for the info - still reading the Romer book.....

I am actually more concerned about the heat - because it affects the health of the fish. Moreover, I know that for many animals, hot conditions will make them "age" faster. In my case, I have no choice but to put them in the balcony (covered) to maintain harmony in the house.....And, NO, my wife will also kill me if I put air-conditioning or fan.

You can buy those cooler fan or buy floating plant to block the light.. Not turning on the lighting also will help for certain situation.

    Re: Fishroom of Dwarf Cichlids

    hi bro joopsg

Fan is out of the question - if I want to stay alive (my wife will kill me).
Floating plants - already got free frogbits from some nice brothers here.
Lighting - needed as I have java ferns etc. in aquarium

Second Romer book - I believe I got the last one in Singapore from Green Chapter abt 4 months ago.....Anyway, you didn't miss much. i think you should wait a while for another book as many species have not been featured.

    hi bro Joopsg

I already got my airstones on timer (every 1/2 hour on-off) & light (8 hours). I have 23 Gex S tanks.

Perhaps you can do me a favour & talk to my wife directly. If my fish gets fan, she will demand aircon (and diamonds).
