I keep the temperature at 26º/27º.
The temperature and PH influences the ratio of males and females. About what i read in other experiences, the high temperature generate more males, and low temperature generate more females.
About my experience, i dont have totally sure that is right, because i dont make a study about this and because in the same aquarium, in different times but with the same temperatures, i creating on time more males, other time more females and other time 50/50..
I think the PH have a important influences too. But about the PH i dont read nothing that give me sure about and how influences the racio...

Edwin, you can turn off the lights in the more hot hours. Just turn on the night. The cooler fan is a option. Other solution is you make a change water around 15/20%. The superficial water circulation help to cool water, with floating plants i think you have 50% problem solved.
