    leehyeok, Altum_lover,
The XML leds are from lck-led.com because they were cheaper, however the shipping took more than a month to reach me even though they are from China/HK. Email correspondence with them is patchy, won't go back to them. The drivers and controllers are from rapidled.com, they are based in US and shipping is slightly more expensive.

The leds cost about about US$300 and drivers are about US$200. The prices are clearly indicated in the website. Check them out. The cost of XMLs have dropped due the release of XML2.

Sim Lim Tower seems to be behind the curve when it comes to LEDs, I do saw some meanwell driver in the ground floor shop (on the right just after the entrance) but they are not the dimmable ones. You would need dimmable ones in order to work with the controllers, otherwise the drivers by itself won't work. Meanwell are made in Taiwan and their quality are quite good as compared to the others available on the market. Can check out http://sg.mouser.com/ (search for keyword "ELN60") for alternative supply in SG.

The aluminum bars are acting as heat sinks for the LEDs, but the LEDs are not giving out much heat as the current is considered low.
I got the aluminum bars at a hardware shop in AMK Ave 3 (near to CTE exit).
    Hope this helps.

Fantastic!! I would love to have this scape in my house!! I can see why your wife is supportive of this... because of your great skills.

6ft on display in the living room.. how much time do you spend maintaining this tank each week? Back breaking to trim and keep everything in shape....?

    Thanks for the likes.
I don't have much skills to speak of, learned from the scapes here in AQ.
Trimming of plants is about once a month while weekly chores are mainly water changes and cleaning of glass, probably takes about an hour to two. Fortunately majority are not stem plants thus trimming is minimal. And I have to use a stool when reaching into the tank, so far the maintenance is manageable (fingers crossed).
