Current tank: 1 4 tier 3ft fish rack
Livestock: WC Ivanacara Adoketa, WC Apistogramma Kelleri 'Red Cheeks', A , WC Apistogramma Mendezi, WC Apistogramma Cruziero, WC Apistogramma Elizabethae and WC Biotoecus Operularis.
I am not sure about angels because; (1) sometimes they nibble a other fish's fins, (2) black & white (angels) does not really gel with red or blue irridescent (I am not an interior decorator but I believe I have some colour sense)....
i agree what Edwin had said. And discus will hide in between plants, they wont swim freely.
Tks bro Garylim
Now I am seriously considering a career switch to interior decorating.....
Actually, I am planning to have two 2-ft tanks in my new office (not so soon). One will be 1/2 filled with those long grass-like plants, white very small pebbles (plants can take root because I tried before), some rocks, 4 turquoise or red-based discus (small-mid sized), some serpae, bleeding heart, neon tetras, otos. The other will have a rock-like piece of wood tied with nana/ java fern, white pebbles, 3 pairs of apistos, some tetras, otos.
Oh I see. But will it be overcrowded?

hi bro garylim
Yes. I actually want only a confirmed pair of discus. But I want them from young because, from my experience, it is easier to acclimatize the fish from young - so I have this problem.
By the way, if you want to see very good planted tank set-up, go to the basement of the revamped shopping centre (Katong 112..or something like that). There are a few good tanks at the food outlet - seriously
