Apisto caca - King of the tank , still looking for 1 or 2 queen, please let me know if you have them to let go.

correct me if I'm wrong, But cpo belongs to crayfish family, which, doesn't belong to planted tanks, they will literally pull out plants or even nibble on them for fun

    Hi frozenduck,
Yes, these are mexican dwarf crays, and they belong to the cray family. They don't nibble on plants like the bigger ones, and they they do uproot plants like hair grass etc, but for my tank nothing for them to uproot and they never disturb my mosses. They are less destructive compared to the normal big sized crays.

been in my tank for months already, never destruct anything.

Does your crayfish attack other fish?

Hi yes, once in ahwile when the fishes tried to steal it's food(sinking pellet). other times they can't really be borthered with the fishes, they are like in their own world , running around and between rocks and climbing the "tree" to do free falling act. hahaha

I kept one previously, it ate my christmas and java mosses tied to a rock and had an otto on its crawl and eating the tail portion before I pull it out. Finally, the CPO jumped out of the tank and fell 4ft down and died a day later.

I think they pretty much eat anything when they are hungry.

Thanks! yes, bog wood with lava rocks. Not at the moment as dont have the time and money to go high tech, only planting these non-co2 demanding plants . haha.

Gosh! must be quite spectacular to watch them "free fall" from tree. I thought they swim mid ground like other normal shrimps? Never keep any CPO before thus not sure how they float midground if they ever float at all...
