Any ideas on what you will be keeping?
Any chiller?

planning to keep tetra and crs, chiller and filter will probably get After I flood tank in August.
Finally done, 4 tube light on.
no idea what plant is this.
challenging hc again.

Tetra and CRS? I don't think they will get along well. Your CRS will get unnecessary stress from the tetra, especially after molding . I believe most bro who keep shrimp tank only have shrimps and nothing else. They might add OTO to aid in fighting off algae.
I've thought about that, But most, if not all sites I visited says that they can coexist

yes they can co exist, but so ensure there are enough hiding spots for the shrimps to hide from the tetras.
You may need to keep buying CRS if u kept them with tetra. I don't think ur shrimps will breed with fishes area.
how about caves, will it be better?

Fauna aside first, I'll settle the hardwares first before i decide on fauna and landscapes.
1. What are some low power consumption canister filters that i can get? I'm currently looking at eheim 2028, all the review seems quite positive, flow rate is about 10-11times of my tank (but i'm expecting it to slow down as i use it, dirty or old dying pump, etc).
2. What kind of output should i use? Lily pipe gush? or rain bars?
3. How do i position the input and output? My tank has 3 bracing, 1 at each end and 1 in middle.

Yup, but for future, which should i add in first? Shrimp first or tetra? Planning to "flake train" the tetra
i have put crs with tetra before. it was a disaster. The tetras bites the legs of the crs even when they are fully fed. In the end, the shrimp with no legs die.
planning to go for carpet HC, 4-5 of those borneowild shrimp shelter (dome shape) tied with moss on it, and some nice looking background plant (yet to decide, any suggestion?). Planning to go for high dosage of co2 (yet to source for 1 too) and slowly reduce dosage after flooding.
1. Need some suggestions on the number of starting shrimps for a 3ft tank.
2. Need some suggestions on a strong canister filter (am thinking of at least 10x flow [1800l/h] since the flow will be reduced with media and blocking of inlet to protect shrimps)
3. Need someone to T-Loan me a CO2 set, will put in deposit for it and gurantee a full refill upon returning.
i have cylinder spare only haha. regulator and faulty solenoid.

Looking through bro Urban's DSM thread, and it set me wondering:
1. should i get more HC to speed up the carpet process?
2. Do i have to cover up the top of the tank? Currently using cling wrap and temperature inside is around 31-32c when i reach home at night.
3. i saw those mat type HC in EOA and C328, am wondering how do i actually "prepare" them for planting? their roots seems quite established, but how do i actually "straighten" their roots for deeper planting?
4. I got a 39wx4 tube light (Aquazonic i think), is it ok if i just on 2 tubes for the DSM? 4 Tubes on makes the tank area super bright, way brighter than my living room light (even though my tank is in a corner, it's bright enough to light up 1/2 my living room (those old 4 room flat with big living room).
5. im using 24L of h.e.l.p soil, do i need to do water change during the cycling period to make it "shrimp safe"?
6. Finally, back to filter position. any suggestion on where should i put the inlet and outlet of the filter on the tank? (I'll be adding in CO2 in future, what kind of diffuser should i use and where to place them?)
eg. both at same corner of tank or seperate? what kind of output? Gush? Jet? rainbar?
1: yes, confirm!
2: Optional, we are living in a rather humid region.
3: I started with those mat type, very tiring to slowly take them out. if you do, peal abit off the bottom of the foam until you see roots. That will make life better.
4: the HC spread slower you ok with it? light is a big factor growing plants. (to me)
5: still do some water change, you can be lazy if your bio-filtration can take it. where regular water change is always a good habbit.
6: no suggestion, you search and decide what you feel best for water flow with your scape. remember that water will take the route with less resistance to flow.

5: I guess I have to do wc before introducing livestocks. even though There's some powder bacteria that I added below soil, I'll be using a new canister.
3: those that I see at c328 doesn't have foam below, flip it around and It's roots, But It's all flattened and entangled together though, any idea how to go about handling them?

5: depend on how daring you are. i've seen very sure their cycling is complete but end up livestock still die.
3: no foam best. slowly untangle. better then pull from and roots break.
