they will eat. need to train them.
long ago i kept a pair on floating pellets from ntuc.
initially they didn't like it and never finish food. but was good after a while.
Hi guys I recently got a few juvenile bala sharks and have problems getting them to feed! I've tried bloodworms and a whole assortment of artificial foods. I have noticed that while they do eat all of the above-mentioned items, they consume only very small quantities, they are now noticeably thinner than when I first got them. Can anyone help me get their appetites up again?

Oh I see! I tried feeding with floating pellets before also but they just didn't seem to come up for the food, end up the other fishes finish up. Unfortunately one of my bala sharks has died already, its very skinny now. Maybe hard to train with other fishes in the tank, will transfer them out and feed them asap! Thank you!
It might be best you train them separately so that they are accustomed to the food first before adding them back into the comm tank.
Need something to scratch that itchy hand of mine.
Don't act smart. Be smart!
If your Bala Sharks remain constantly skinny even though they are eating, they are likely to have contracted some form of intestinal infestation. Look at their poo, if it is stringy and whitish, then they have parasites in their gut. It is difficult to cure this ailment but you can try with Sera BaktoTabs, IF they will eat or nibble at it. Try to find this drug called Metronidazole. Soak the food in this medication and feed the Bala Sharks. With luck and some patience they might survive.
