Hi All, pardon my noob question...

I read from some members here using RO water for their shrimp tank. I interpret it as pure distilled water and I wonder can I use battery distilled water (from petrol kiosk or NTUC) as a source of RO water?

Current PH level at 6.8. Straight from tap is 7.4. Trying to bring down the PH to 6.4

    All advices are appreciated.

Casting aside suitability, from economics point of view it would not make sense isn't it? Life distilled water costs $1.05 for 2x1.5L, whereas battery water typically costs about $1 for 1L.

Come to think of it, I believe it is ok to top up battery with Life distilled water instead.

Thanks Biso. I was eyeing the few barrels of under utilized battery water in the company hence cost wise is foc.
Care to share where Cani get life distilled water? Are they the type used for drinking? Saw some today with label indicating ph at 7.

You can get it at NTUC. Most outlets sell @ $1.05 for 2x1.5L, but Rochor outlet was retailing @ $0.90 for 1.5L when I was there last weekend. Some outlets sell in cartons (12x1.5L) @ $5.90.

Yes this is for drinking. I once tested the pH at 6. Not sure if the pH is consistent throughout though.
