    is there a way that I can get it away? I guess it come with the wood right?
    cause the tank is actually just set up...

    you can leave it alone, it will go away after awhile.. or some fishes (SAE) will clear them... or you can take the driftwood out and boil it or soak in hot water

    hi Mono, i had the same problem as urs. i just bought some bogwoods (mangrove) and some gross white slime emerged from its surface after a day in the tank, in particular the tips. I took out the bogwoods and rubbed it out, followed by pouring boiling water. I repeated the process twice and now the bogwoods are free from slime and actually sinked in.

    put in one molly and it'll do the job! magic in a day or two it's as clean as new.

    try it.

    True, mollies( or is it platies ) do the job really well. My bagful cleared most of the white thing, and even bred in there.

    As for boiling, I don't know, but maybe I'd share with you guys this webpage:
