very nice....

Oh, sounds tedious. Mine glosso mostly ends up floating back to the top of the water the next day. Either it's not entrenched properly or my fishes just love pulling it up. Damn irritating, feel like giving up.
Anyway, you have a very nice setup there. Hope I can succeed planting my glosso. Thanks.

very nice....

Some updates. Rotala grows really fast and can be seen from the front. Have added in Bucephalandra Skeleton King on the left and 6 Brilliant neon tetra, 5 purple harlequin rasbora, 5 harlequin rasbora. Java fern on the left doesnt seems to grow well, I guess they need cooler water. Glosso still growing slowly on left portion and have not cover up the expose soil. I have started to trim off some of the glosso growing near the glass and some thick portions on the right.

Very nice tank!
Are those cable ties which are securing the moss to the driftwood?

Thanks! I like your tank too! Those are actually black rubber bands to tie hair. 1 dollar can get about 20-30 of them. I used it for my whole tank as I just need to stretch them around the wood and they are secure. Once the moss has grown on the wood, just need to cut it off.
Very nice tank bro![]()

Hi,
any photo updates for your tank..? it's been a while![]()

Haha, yup some updates below.
2 weeks ago, ran out of seachem flourish and stopped dosing for a week. After that, algae started to grow around my bucephalandra! Have since continued twice a week of seachem flourish since last Saturday. I added in hydrocotyle japan on the extreme left and downoi at the centre. Thanks to Heman for the plants! I have also removed the java moss from the right driftwood which is quite difficult to maintain as they grow really fast and after cutting them, they sink instead of float, haha. Have replaced them with mini fissiden and some us fissiden on driftwood. The US fissiden took about a month to get use to my tank and just started to grow. I have also shifted all the rotala red (not sure the name) to the left side. They grow faster than rotala green.

Looks good! Nice contrast of the driftwood without moss, against the rotala green.
Downoi looks cute and small, they will grow bigger, right?
Oh dear, I didn't know moss doesn't float either! I haven't trimmed mine yet..
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Yah it seems like my downoi is shrinking. I just found out that my CO2 bubble has dropped to about 1bps. That is why there was a slight outbreak of algae last week. Could be affecting my downoi and other plants. Yeah, i think most of the moss does not float, my mini fissiden and java moss always sink and the java moss makes a mess when it drop deep into the substrate. When I pull them out, i sometimes will also uproot my glosso. Grr. The rotala grows really fast, i have to trim them weekly and since the last post, i have trimmed at least 3 times.

Hi all, have not updated my tank photos. Have done some rescape of the plants and bought new driftwood from seaview. I have also neglected my planted tank to concentrate on my reef tank. haha. You can see that the right side of the tank is bare as I did not trim the glosso every 2 weeks and the bottom part starts to rot due to the light not reaching the bottom of the tank. The rotala continue to grow very fast and I have to trim them at least every 2 - 3 weeks. Btw, the reef tank is a 42cm cube custom made from Aquarium Artist with sump.

Reef tank looks fun!

Any updates on your plant tank and how is your max razer light ?
