not really quite sure, the fish is either
Nannostomos diagrammus, Twin-stripe pencilfish
or
Nannostomus beckfordi, Golden pencilfish, beckfordi pencilfish

I’d say beckfordi just because it is more common.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Btw, do they eat algae?? I saw them always pecking at my plants, as if eating algae...

less than a dollar each....
I think most pencilfishes, including the cigar and headstanders eat some filamentous algae to some extend, their mouths are built to "pluck" things.

yup, my pencil fish is always pecking away at my moss-grown driftwood.. i dont knw how effective it is but at least it is seen working.. :P
