    Hi,

Is the light enough for healthy plant growth?
Planted glosssa last week it turned brown and die off.
Is it due to lack of nutrient of light?

Just to add on.... The light packaging did not indicated number of watts or detailed spectrum. All I know is a led light

    Hi Bro,

Try to "pluck" the glosso 2-3 leaf (a node) with healthy root and plant them evenly spread out. I had try to plant it in one bunch (due to my laziness Lol) and it dies off quite fast.

As for HC, you can see how others plant it as well here.

    Regards,
    Ming Xiang

So improper planting is the root cause?

    Re: New planted tank

Glosso and HC are mid-high requirement plants. There are a lot of factors that affect plants e.g: light power/colour spectrum, height of tank, photoperiod, fertilizer levels,co2 levels, temperature, conversion of emerge to submerge, soil.

Try to look for the box of the light for any info, if not,try goggle-ing the brand of light brand and search.

Planting then sparsely is generally better, but its hard to diagnose what happend to your plants with so little information. If you are still new, i would suggest you to check out my blog at the bottom of my signature. Hope it helps you...

    Re: New planted tank

Okay found, it stated 2.9 watts which I suppose not enough for plants? Any light recommendation for clip on lights for 1.5ft?

    Re: New planted tank

For glosso, the best is if you got some spare time, plant them one by one. They will slowly spread out but will take you hours just to plant them. Those that I stick a bunch in, the bottom will usually turn brown and dies off beneath the substrate.

    Re: New planted tank

Glosso is not an easy plant to deal with. Light is just one part the other is CO2 rich water and water temperature. Based on what you just mentioned, it may be due to planting. Glosso when they do not get enough light they go vertical.

    Hi Bros,

Yes, i think both light and planting is the main reason.
Those that survive actually growing vertical now.
I am dosing seachem excel every other day.
Water temperture is maintained at 27-28

Any clip on light which is good for plant growth to intro?

You can consider this one.. maybe a bit pricey though. Not sure what's your budget.
