Need help on building my first Crystal Red Shrimp (CRS) tank

Hello all, i am planning to start my first crystal red shrimp tank. Been keeping sakura and rilli shrimps previously, managed to breed them quite successfully. Below describes the the equipments that i intend to buy. I am really new to and would appreciate all advises !

Tank : L 40cm x W 25cm x H 15cm (15litres only)

Chiller : coolworks iceprobe with temperature control
(Tested on a same dimension tank for a week. Comparing it with my sakura tank with no chiller; Sakura Tank 28-30 degrees, Tank with chilller constant 24-25.5 degrees. Im actually quite happy and surprised ! )


Substrate : ADA AquaSoil Amazonia II
Did abit of research and concluded that this is probably the most suitable substrate for crs. Please advise if i'm wrong.

Filter : Sponge filter + Dazs Filter System D- 80 (80 liters/hr) or Sponge filter + EDEN501. Please advise. totally need help in this. which setup is better? what media to used. Is the filtration and flow rate sufficient ?


Plant : Probably just simple moss and driftwood
Shrimps : low grade A/S crs
Waterchange : 10% per week
Lightnings : please advise
Shrimp food : please advise
Test kit : Sera pH, KH,GH and NO2
Cycling period : 1month

Anything else i missed out???
