Hey! I see your blyxas are growing in nicely! Do update again once your crypts fill in!
Thanks for sharing your sydney tank too!
This one is about 2 months+
I think there's still something missing in here, can you please help comment?
Specs:
3x2x2 basic braceless tank
4 x T5 + 2 x T5 about 8hrs with 4 tubes and 3hr with 6 tubes.
Co2 at about 10bps (seriously cant' count as it goes too fast.
ADA soil, LUSH Gro fert every now and then, water change weekly.
2260 which I reduced intake to 16/22 + Co2 diffuser on the outlet which makes just about right.
Plants:
Abit hard to list all the names here are some (that i know):
Blyxa Jap
Twisty Val (not sure of the name, far right corner)
Red lotus
Red sword (dont know name)
etc
My intention was to get the Val to cover the background but they refused to grow tall. I think it was because of the high light and CO2. Any suggestion?
I just got some Crypt in the back as well hoping they will cover the background. But it will take some time. No thoughts were given on the scape though.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers
and as promise to Derek, here's my old tank from Sydney.
4x2x2
2x150W MH + 2x24PL. DIY substrate. Sump + 2217.

I believe the twisting leave plant is Crinum calamistratum or at least it looks it. Does it have a stem/bulb that resemble onions?
Definitely will update again after another few weeks![]()
Yes thats the Crinum but i meant the one behind it. Bushy Vals.
nice greenery setup!
