Just a note: Fittonia is not a true aquatic. It will not grow in the aquarium, but will probably die off after a while and start contaminating the aquarium water.

Ah! Damn. It was such a good looking plant. Didn't know it isn't a aquatic plant. Thank you for the clarification!

Haha!!! I am testing it with minimum light to see whether it can survive and glow slowly. Since it requires very low light.

No choice man. A chiller is too costly for me and the electric consumption is very heavy too. But i am currently looking at some cooling fans.
I saw a Gex one. Seems good. Any recommendation?

You can try ANS fans, they are huge but slightly noisy. Able to maintain my tank temperature at 28 degrees celcius, i use with a timer, on 30 mins, off 1 hour and so on.

I'm using ans 3000 fan, temperature was stable at 27° for the past few days, even with 4 tube t5 on. was at 25° this morning at 10+

so I'm being a prick going around warning people for SMS lingo, let's put it this way: I got infaction for it once, and I'm sore about it, and I'm making more people joining me with infaction points. problem?

Bro. How big is your tank? How much electricity does it consume?

standard 3'. electricity I'm not too sure, can check wattage for you tonight, only downside is the insane evaporation, but it's still good to me.

Thanks! How insane is insane? Top up every 2 days?

Anyway. I like how you include the sms lingo thing. It reminds us to double check our spelling and errors before hitting send.

Insane as in, you can practically see the water level difference at the end of the day (top up in morning before going to work, and water level during night time before sleep).

I am very afraid of the sudden changes in PH and TDS which causes stress to shrimp. I change water from sucking out from airline tube and refill by dripping 3 drops per second.

May i know what shrimp you were keeping?

previously kept sakura and fire red. The mistake that i made was overdosing of CO2, tank is already running on very high output (yellow drop checker) and yet, i overdosed excel, resulting in all the livestock running to the top to breathe, including shrimps, hanging onto my frogbits. IF, only if, i had ran out to polyart to grab a air pump, i could have avoided so much casualty.

Will run air pump once it has fully cycled. Because i heard the higher the temperature, The less oxygen is within the "water".

I have tried connecting air pump to co2 diffuser, But the pressure is not high enough to push out the oxygen. Have you tried this method before?
