Bro the difference is big ......

At first when im browsing the net for the difference between lava and unzan,
I also have the same thinking as you. But when you look at the rocks with your eyes,
you will then realised the difference , I don't know how to explain to you,
Unzan have bigger holes, very rough surface , cracks that are more unique than lava, and they are heavier

Strange how come all talk about rocks and not my scaping

Is it normal my plants are not pearling ? Only 5percent plants pearled.

I see. The Hc growth very slow like not spreading, but most importantly not melting .

The rotala green will propagate very fast. I have a feeling you bought a bit too many pots.

never try hc before so cant comment much

but for the hydrocotyle i think there shouldnt be an issue, it seems like an extremely easy plant to grow. even in my low light low tech tank, theres no problems with growing hydrocotyle.

i plant it in a very
clumsy way, just stuff the whole clump into the soil with some leaves and roots jumbled
up and showing above the soil. in less than 2 weeks the hydrocotyle start spreading and
    growing "straight"

i really like the plant Hydrocotyle japan. Wonderful little plant especially once it gets bushier. For the positioning of the hyrdocotyle on the stone, it might grow very tall and hinder your scape. unless you grow it in such a way that it droops down? For me i might put riccia into that hole on the stone .

Actually I have considered other plants such as UG , DHG and HM

But somehow I chosen Hydrocotyle cause I like the shape of its leaves and
the reason why I put them on the top of both rocks pockets is they will
grow downwards and looks like fallen dangling plants creating a natural looking scape

I planted HC the lower pockets , I cant put the Hydrocotyle there cause when they grow bushy
it was cover up the lower portion of the rocks

This project took me nearly 2 months to gather all the stuffs and planning and research,
I hope will be a successful one

Your HC is still transiting to submerged and establishing roots, so usually for the first 1-2 weeks, you probably wouldn't see much growth yet... since you have ample Co2 injection and light, once the HC settle in they will start sending out more runners and creating a carpet.

From your tank's plants list, they should mostly be green to light green in color (i guess it also depends on the visible color temp/tint of your lights too)... but if parts of them are noticeably yellow, then it might indicate some nutrient deficiency.

give your plants some time to root in. after which the older leaves will die off and new leaves will grow.
