something similar? This was one of the few blogs which I came across the very initial period when I was introduced to aquascaping. This one looks like 蜀山.
Hi Everyone
Found this very interesting hardscaping...Radical in many ways of which I think is very interesting. Reminds me of the Floating Mountain from the hit movie Avatar though....

I am wondering how they suspend the rock....fishing line? If based on the one in the video....he's got this metal rods at the top of the tank....is it not going to block out the lights?

I think fishing lines are the only ones he could use to suspend the rocks and make the lines look invisible from far. Could not really think of anything else he could use. He was using this dry start mist method in this other video:
And from what I see, he is using some kind of moss for his carpet? And that should not require much light, i suppose.

Not same guy, the one eric posted is mine![]()

Whahahahaha!!!!!! speaking of irony.....THANK GOD ....I WAS GOING TO SAY SOME REALLY 'BAD' STUFF.......LUCKY!!!!!
Shadow...Joking.....any more pics of it....as the tank ages? Uncle...how you suspend the rocks? Tie the whole rock with fishing line...or drill micro eye hooks into the rock...do you have to find the CG of every rock so it hangs the way it should????

which type of fishing line/leader u used? there are mono and florocarbon. apparently flourocarbon is suppose to be invisble in water..at least to fish. i have some from my fishing trip but did not tried as mine are real thick.

Very interesting setup. I think using 1 to 2 lbs fishing line will be enough as I believe the rock is not that heavy.

That I have no idea, I just got it from NA.
Is that chicken coop net at the top?

It an egg crate so that I can freely move around the rocks.

Hmmm. It looks like the light diffuser sold in some LFS. Great idea!!! I was planning on using acrylic rods. You just save me a lot of time (and money). I just hope it can hold the rocks I already bought. Don't want to come home and see my tiger barbs crushed by a rock. hehe
