I have tried Mag-Float. No bad as they float in the water as well for easy retrieval. Choose one size that is strong enough for your 12mm glass.

I still find that a good piece of non-scratch green wool the best for cleaning glass. They aren't very expensive and will last quite long as long as you don't use them to clean all the other hardware (like filter parts, etc). An old plastic credit-card or phone card, etc where the glass meets the gravel. A lot faster too.
However, reach is an issue with the above method.
The magnet cleaners, just aren't up to the job for some of the green algae that grow on the glass, especially at the edges.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
But the good thing is that you need not shift any tank covers etc. and your hands remain dry. Can do it once or twice weekly before the spot algae takes a stronger foothold.
For me I usually use it once a week. It is "parked" at the back corner of the tank.

But i heard that it may scratch the glass wall of the tank.
Is that true?
Using Tetratec glass scrapper. Hands will remain dry and cleaning it more effective.

Heard what will scratch the glass? Green wool? Thats why you should get those that claim they will not scratch the surfaces. Also be careful not to clean when gravel or snails are stuck in the green wool.
My TetraTec scraper left scratches on my glass.

I am referring to the magnetic glass cleaner. Heard that it may scratch the walls of the tank.

without a considerable amount of pressure on the magnetic glass cleaner and a tiny piece of hard material such as metal or sand, i doubt it can scratch the glass.
so magnetic glass cleaner wouldn't scratch the walls of the tank?
