If it is still under warranty, do send it to Qian Hu as stated on the warranty card.
If no longer under warranty, do feel free to ask here in the forums, or do a search as i am sure many have experienced similar problems as i believe majority of us have definitely used a classic before.
else you can just carry it to your LFS and explain to them, hopefully they can help you diagnose and rectify your problems.
Hi All
Just checked mine is way out of warranty.
There was a slow leak between the output of the filter head (the top of the canister) and where it connects to output tubing.
This would happen everytime I do a thorough cleaning of the filter but manage somehow to stop the leakage in the past.
Now after cleaning and fixing it back the leakage got worse by sprouting out water non stop.
I thought I found a solution by using blu tac but that stopped the leakage only for 1 day.
Last night I found the fish tank cabinet floor wet only to find that it is leaking again but this time all around the edge of the filter head.
Guys do you know why and how do I solve this ?
Do inspect the outlet of the canister to see if the plastic portion has chipped off.
If its still intact, try getting a new eheim hose, install it by pushing it all the way in and screwing the grey tightening knob.
Tried that didn't work
What are the other solutions you tried but to no avail?
Post us a picture.
There might be a slight crack on the canister outlet that you have been mending with the blutack.
I just called Qian hu and they told me it will take a week or so for the repairs...Cant wait that long as I have fishes
Anyone can recommend a better filter than eheim 2213 ?
It could be the sealing ring in the pump cover part no. 72050600 which is cheap, or the pump
head cover crack part number 7632500 which is costly.
You can search AQ market place for 2nd hand ehiem filter.
i still recommend eheim because they are good.

Its time to get a new filter. My opinion is that if the head is creaked, repairing it may not make economical sense. Its two years old and other parts may start to fail beginning with the O-Rings as most aquarist (me included) are just too lazy to gel the rings when servicing the filters.

My new Eheim also springing a slow leak after 3 days of use. Tracked the leak to the movable inlet part at the base. Strange thing is that it leaked very slowly when there is movement around the area. What I did was to just leave it till there are no leakage and then apply silicon to seal up the area.
