Fish chiller and arctica chiller. Similar or different?

Hello all

Could not find info about a chiller brand called "fish chiller". Individual claimed that its the OEM for Arctica but I am skeptical.
Anyone with more experience and knowledgeable knows if this is true?
Also, if its true, how did fish chiller become arctica?

Never heard of fish Chiller. The 3 players in Singapore is Hailae, Teco and Artica. The first from China the other two from Italy

As far as I know, Daeil was previously known to be the oem of Arctica. If I am not wrong, Daeil has the word Fish Chiller/Cooler printed on their chiller. There are Resun, Hailea, Arctica, Teco and Sfiligoi. For larger tank, aircon compressor from Mitsubishi and Daikin are sometimes used to chill the tank water.

You serious? Mitsubishi or Daikin? I dont remember them making chillers ...unless DIYing....How big a tank are we talking about?

@ David - I think what BFG meant is that some people used Mitsubishi and Daikin aircon compressor as chiller . The actual aircon compressor.
I know someone who do that....

They install the compressor outside and run piping to their tanks.

Been ages since the aircon compressor being used for large tank. Myself is using the Starmex Mitsubishi aircon compressor for my 4ft marine tank. After the accident I experienced with the failure of my Resun chiller, I opted to use this method of chilling my tank water.I might be the only one using this aircon compressor in the main hall in my parents house. Google the company, Chill Down where I got mine from.

I believe Arctica and Daeil came from Korea. Not sure bout who owns them but the information I got from word of mouth from other hobbyist years back.

Tried to look for details but found nothing. So tried asking around here.

Broke down.. thats fast. i believe daeli brand is quite old already? better if you get an artica one i'd recommend..

If budget is tight, I would suggest going for Hailea. Remember to choose a model higher than what you required and don't forget to modify the chiller with an external temperature probe for better temperature control and to prevent the dreaded stop start from happening. Without the modification, the chiller operation achilles heel is the water pump flowrate.

Agree! I regretted not having two filters for my 5 feet. one just to whack the chiller
