    Hello guys!

    Could someone kindly suggest what lighting can I use for the above mentioned measurement for a planted tank as my current one is too narrow, causing the glosso in the front to be growing up rather than creep;

    This brand i am using is beamworks.

    Is there any recommendations to brands that I can use together with this or any light that is wide enough to cover the front and the back of the tank?

    Thank you all!

    Light Recommendation for 3ft Planted Tank?

    I'm afraid this model not strong enough for deep penetration, unless you do low tech / low maintenance plants.

    I'm not sure if you buy another one will good enough to have good glosso growth.

    Light Recommendation for 3ft Planted Tank?

    I'm sure some friends here know well LED according to your need, i know that beamswork model because it was my first led in last few years for daughter guppy tank.
    If you are willing to try T5HO, you can start from 2x florescent bulb fixture above the tank ( or hanging style preferably ).

    Bro, if you don't mind the bulky look and willing to find ways to secure it (hang or rest on mesh). LED flood light is a cheap alternative, definitely enough to penetrate 45cm depth, just use higher power one like 30 Watt or 50 Watt. You may need 2 or 3pcs of those.

    O...OK. I'm using 2x 30watt LED for my 2ft tank with height of 56cm. It's very bright and seems like the color spectrum (6500k) can grow plants pretty well.

    I still prefer T5 than led. So far no issue with T5.

    What is the LED wattage and individual LED power of the light you are using?

    If its the ones that use 3W individual LEDs, it actually has sufficient power for a 45cm height tank, you will just need to shift the set close to the front so that more light is focused there (at the moment the light focus in your tank is in the middle to back portion).

    You can also get a 2nd set and use both concurrently, position one in front and one behind, that will supply light to all areas of the tank.

    Re: Light Recommendation for 3ft Planted Tank?

    Yup. You can get a second set and position it behind however I prefer getting another brand, Evo because it seems brighter and the light will be able to penetrate the water. So what I do is that I put the Beamswork at the back where the leaves are taller because the plants are larger and they should receive enough light while I place my Evo at the front where my carpet grass is and then since the Evo seems stronger, the carpet grass will still get sufficient light.
