    Hi,
    For a nano tank,
Is it advisable to use the small replaceable co2 cartridges instead of the regular methond of supplying from cylinders.

Problem with such setups is that there is no solenoid, thus you'll have to manually shut off co2 during light off periods.
What you can do is to get a co2 tank and tweak the gas output to a level that suits your tank's requirement, like 1 bubble per second or less

I would use a small cylinder attached to a solenoid. Small tanks have not much water. Quite difficult to maintain water parameters.
I am balding but i am still young!

I feel that a solenoid is useful and you can control the time the solenoid switch on and off with a ikea timer. This will ensure that your co2 comes on at the same time everyday just before your lights turn on and off.
