    Hi,
Other than tetra, what other fish can I put into my 4ft planted tank?

I do not wish to feed too often, and not have fussy fish. I need hardy and low maintenance types. How about barbs?

I may just want to stick to 1 type. Any reccomendations?

If you want to keep one or a small number of species with little maintenance, I would suggest

    Puntius everetti

but they may be out of stock now.

another nice alternative although a little more costly is the Burmese fish

    Inlecypris auropurpureus

this may be available now at Eco Culture.

if you like fast swimming fish do consider the Indian barilius

    Barilius bakeri

Believe Plantas Aquaticus still have them.

Hi, I just went against the initial thought that I had thought of myself. After talking to some people, I decided to get tetras.

I was at the Pasir Ris Fish Place (this is off Lorong Halus) coming in from the Pasir Ris Wafer plant.
I bought 20 cardinals, 4 panda cory, 4 platies and a light brown colored sucker with really flat stomarch (not a pleco).

    Question:
How do I ensure that the cory will get food? Although I have not fed them yet, I would think that the tetra will eat up the food before the food goes down to the bottom where the cory are hanging around.

Can I feed on a weekly or once every 3 days? I do not wish to open up the cardboard cover too often.

    Thanks.

there are sinking pellets for cories in the market. Feeding every few days is fine, and keeps the water less dirty.

What soil are you using? Cory is capable of ****ing up and messing with the soil especially when they are hunting down the food.
