Golden nana, windlov java fern, normal java fern might be good for you.
the least they don't die right off, and as long as rhizome is there got chance can survive.

@wongce - thanks for the response. Guess my shrimps are still considered normal with the replies.
So far did another water change after noticing a thin layer of oil on surface, since its a nano-tank, i guess skimmer is like over-kill.
As days passed, i notice my plants are like dying... I have removed all Riccia and most Eleocharis after they turned yellowish. Now left with only balls of marimo, bits of eleo and some moss tied on a cr left over when i purchased the shrimps. Anyone can recommend any less-demanding stalk plants that i can add that is between 5-10cm?

Below 30deg is fine for Sakura/ fire reds.
I would advise not to use fan. The water evaporation for small tank will result in constant top up and change in water parameters.
You can't install a chiller for small tank with the GEX, firstly the GEX uses 9/12mm tubes which chillers don't support. Also I doubt that the flow rate from GEX is fast enough for efficient cooling of the water.

@felix_fx2 - thanks for the idea. I think may go for golden nana as suggested. Fern wise... Hmmm... Prefer sticking to mini pelia or glosso. Need some tips on these. Just found out the hard truth, reading can only take as reference, practical results may differ as different owner's tank may be different setup and water quality. Think i shall stick with the cheap stuffs first, nice packaging = high useless cost. Out of 28bucks i spent, now left only 1 buck worth... And still deteriorating. Sad.
@gryphon - the fan is not on all the time, probably like only 8-10hrs when i go work. There was a day the temperature hovering around 31dc in the afternoon and the shrimps are still ok so far. I off them in the night. Evaporation rate is around 250ml per day.
I was thinking 30cm tank no need chiller. I planning to house only rili and neocardina in 2 small 30cm tank. Maybe chiller in future (2-3mths time)for 2 x 60cm tank, 1 for crs/cbs/cws, another for tiger and bees. Thats why i wanted your Gex2045. The 2045 inlet and outlet pipes can't be replace with some kind of tube size adapter? I was wanting to get nano lily pipes for the outlet instead of rainbar, and steel mesh or sponge for the inlet.
Still cracking my head for idea how to use 1 chiller for 2 filters... Maybe connecting them as series. I thought the environment for tiger/bees and the crystals are around the same?
Since i'm not into breeding yet, just plain hobby now since i'm still very amateur, i heard cbs/crs/tiger/bees can still adapt to 27dc correct? Maybe use fan for those tanks first (stable 27dc for the last 3 days)?
I just did some water test after changing 15% water today... Using sera test kit, results like not very good.
PH - 6.5
Nitrate - 25
Ammonia - 1mg/l
Hmmm... Do i need further improvement on my water?

Omg! Just discovered the first casualty of my tank! Mysterious white band between the head and body on my fire red.
My guess is it passed on before molting. I notice this white bands on the shrimps before they molt. Correct me if i'm wrong...
http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2836/9...91205ddc_c.jpg
I took this photo also to show the big difference of the color for the "green shrimps" i purchased.
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3692/9...2c8b5dd1_c.jpg
Notice the huge difference between the "uglier green" at 12 o'clock position compare to the "greener" one at 7 o'clock position. The one at 3 o'clock is the yellow shrimp. What a huge difference! And i have 3 of the ugly ones in a bag of 4... Sighz

There should be some adapters available, I am not sure as I never hunt for such adapters.
27 deg should be ok for the low grade CRS/BDS. If that time comes when you want to get CRS/BDS, I can intro you someone who keeps them using fans in his cool enviroment house. Discuss more when you meet to get the GEX

@Gryphon - I saw the adapters at seaview.
Looking forward to get the filters and receiving tips on the shrimps... I look around no low grades crystal to play with, everyone selling minimum 8-10 per shrimp.
Appreciate much.
Btw, just for discussion, i saw someone posted elsewhere clearing his prl and pbl at 10 each... Is the price consider a steal? Because so far from LFS i see only selling normal crs/cbs, i can't know whether they are pure lines or not.

buy bee or firered, if you know breeder. contact them directly.
anyway, good time to read up on what shrimps interbreed. look at keeping 2 generations

Understand. No worries. I'd definitely wait till at least i have a stable tank for bees/crystals before i venture further. I personally grade shrimping hobby as;
Basic - neocardina/rilis
Intermediate - tiger/low grade bees/crystals
Advance - pure lines/graded bees (bkk/wr/bb)
Professional - sulawesi/marine
Since i'm not a pro-breeder, i'm leaning towards shrimps' life-sustainability and normal reproduction first.

Some updates
Went to GC today, met Ronnie the shop master. A very nice chap with many to learn from. Best response given when 1 questions received many sentences of tips and advices. Similar friendly experience as CRS Haven.
Btw, was advised the white spots on my tank may not be seed shrimp. Those i saw at GC were about 2-3mm big, while mine was only less than 1mm. Also discover there were 2 types of spots... 1 look like inverted "Y" where Ronnie says its confirmed copepods, another type is a tiny dot with tail... This he can't comment. Ask me to try some fish to eat them, wanted to net some boraras briggitae, but change my mind.
Hand gotten itchy after seeing the numerous tanks and netted 4 snowballs and 3 yellow, 1 blue and 1 red ram horn and 1 tiny nerite. I like it that i can even buy just one shrimp and choose myself. Comes with a price though...
Sadly, no indostomus.
Grab a small bottle of borneo wild spinach... Seems to excite my shrimps much. I think i really need to change my shrimps diet, hehe. Can introduce me any good staple shrimp feed?
Compared the new yellows with my original single yellow and realized mine is a fire yellow with the yellow stripe down its back.
Reuse the tiny bits of duckweeds (about 10 leaves) packed with the shrimps... Wow, the oil film is almost gone, i assume they stuck on the duckweeds roots?
Went to my neighbour's house and borrowed 1 cardinal tetra... See if it will eat those spots.
Notice a patch on my tank glass like a cluster of 8 tiny bubbles, i assume these are snail egg??? Does anyone know how fast these snail reproduce?
TIA

wha i just pissed myself... closed the page wrongly after typing so long...... like 20 minutes.
now become short story.
1: See stickies, their turned off in tapatalk (depend on version and OS)
This is in stickies.
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...highlight=bugs
2: If your shrimp like it why not keep using, but if they got no other choice. Beggers can't be choosers right?
3: You might see this more often in Cherry/malayan. IMHO it's the genetic trait that is seen within the family. if not mistaken, it is also sometimes observed in CRS as well. depending on the batch of shrimp this trait may show up more dominant sometimes. more details maybe a more shrimp inclined hobbyist can offer you a site or advice you directly.
4: DUCKWEED... WEED.... it will explode in population. i would EXTERMINATE any i see, been there done that duckweed surface (and suffered even 3-4 months of it endlessly wanting to come back)
5: Ask and you shall be given, google.com's 1st result given to me.

1 cardinal tetra will die? they need to be in a school? I don't know the minimum though.

@felix_fx2 - noted and thanks for the links. Hmm, seems like tapatalk not the best to use for forums. I keep reading about wafer food... Don't know which is good to get. Can't be feeding spinach everyday also. Hahaah, i'd be bored being a "vegetarian" everyday. Hehe, i scrubbed the snail eggs away already, ramshorn seems to lay egg very fast, one night and i see 3 patches already. I also quarantined the snails in a separate bottle. Maybe putting them in only once a while.
@sootz - that i'm not sure. My friend bought 50 from seaview and kept in his tank with 2x 8cm crayfish, 3 days later left only 18... The crayfish seems having a feast. I just saved the soul of one....
Initially i worry my shrimps will be disturb, but after many hours observation... My 1 tetra kept being chased away by 18 shrimps... In fact, i saw a few instances when my shrimp will jump onto the tetra if it swims to a lower depth near the shrimps. :O

@Naraki - thanks for the info. Will check out those feeds.

Understand. Thanks for the reminder. In fact there's quite a number of reminders from the bros here. I like varieties and colors, maybe will mix these neocridinas only.
Feel like getting a couple of blues and chocolates which im short of, but chocolates are $$$.
