Newbie needs ID of longkang fish

Good day to all!

Recently started taking an interest in fish rearing and its lifestyle. Would like to be that kampong boy who goes around looking for fishes. Recently went to my neighbourhood longkang and notice a huge spawn of wild guppies caught a load of them along with this critter. Its pretty useful with cleaning, its been nibbing at the bottom of my tank. Not sure of its name though can anyone help identify.

That's a young Tilapia, Oreochromis mossambicus. It will grow large soon enough. This is a fairly hardy but invasive species. I ever saw one in the storm drain near Somerset MRT, before they built malls on top of that drain.
